Why I built PostAde
It started with a text I was already sending.
Hi! I'm Sarah. That's me in the middle, between my two daughters, in a unanimously approved selfie. ;)
Before I post a photo or selfie with my friends or family, I always send it to everyone first and ask some version of, "Can I post this?" And they do the same with me.
Because consent is important, especially when it comes to social media. Just because I love a photo doesn't mean everyone else in it does!
It's become this funny little ritual between us, but it solves a very real problem. Nobody wants to open social media and think,"Why did you post that photo of me?!"
And we've all been there, right?
PostAde came from wanting a simpler way to do what my family and friends were already doing: share photos privately, let the people who are actually in them weigh in, and know what's okay to post before it goes public.
Because the way I've done it for years? A little messy. Sending photos back and forth, waiting for opinions, trying to remember who approved what. Meanwhile, my camera roll is full of photos I never use because I can't remember if everyone gave them the green light!
There had to be a better way.
And then I started thinking about weddings, birthdays, vacations, girls' weekends, and all those wonderful occasions where everyone has a camera and about a thousand photos.
The same idea made even more sense.
More memories shouldn't have to mean more group-chat chaos. And everyone deserves a say in the photos they're part of.
That's why I created PostAde. A little less chaos, a little more consent, and a whole lot fewer "OMG, take that down!" moments.

The original PostAde approval committee.

Built for the moment before "post."
PostAde is not trying to replace your camera roll, your photographer, or your social apps. It is the little decision layer in between: collect the photos, get the right people's input, then share with confidence.
