Privacy Notice
1. What PostAde collects
PostAde collects the information needed to create private photo albums, invite a group, vote, and show results.
- Creator account information: email address and authentication records. Password handling is provided through Supabase Auth and passwords are not available to PostAde as readable plain text.
- Guest and voting information: guest or session identifiers, album membership, votes, and timestamps needed to operate the voting flow.
- Album content: album names, approval settings, uploaded photos, invitation links, and voting results.
- Basic product analytics: actions such as landing-page views, album creation, uploads, joining, voting completion, page paths, session identifiers, and campaign or referral parameters when present.
- Hosting and security providers may also receive ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as network, browser, device, and request-log information.
2. How information is used
Information is used to provide sign-in, albums, invitations, voting, approved galleries, downloads, service security, troubleshooting, and basic beta analytics. PostAde also uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregated traffic on public pages, including approximate country, referrer and browser details. This Vercel analytics service uses no tracking cookies. PostAde excludes private albums and invitation pages from Vercel analytics and strips query parameters from collected page URLs. PostAde does not sell uploaded photos or personal information for advertising.
Optional advertising conversion measurement
If a visitor chooses Allow measurement on public creator pages, PostAde may use the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel to tell us whether an ad resulted in a completed registration or a newly created album. It can collect browser and attribution information, set first-party measurement cookies, and use eligible customer details in hashed form for ad measurement. PostAde does not explicitly send album names, photos, vote contents, invitation tokens, or checkout session IDs as advertising conversion data. Advertising measurement is optional and declining it does not limit use of the service.
PostAde enables optional Pixel measurement only on public marketing and account-creation pages after consent. Measurement is suspended when navigating to private photo galleries, invitations, or payment-confirmation pages. You can change your preference below. For more information, see OpenAI's conversion measurement explanation.
3. Who can see album content
PostAde is designed for private group use. Album content can be available to the album creator and people who join through an invitation link or other authorized flow. Anyone with an active invitation link may be able to use that link, so treat invite links as private and share them only with the intended group.
4. Album and photo retention
Free albums and older Host Approval albums without a scheduled event date are deleted 30 days after album creation. When a paid Host Approval organizer enters an event date, its 30-day sharing period begins on that date in the event's selected time zone. Photos and album content remain available through the 30th calendar day after the event, then the daily cleanup removes photo files, album details, invitations, and memberships. Cleanup may run approximately one day later. PostAde is not a permanent photo backup service.
Deleting an album does not delete the creator's login account or general website analytics unrelated to the album. Technical logs or service-provider backups may remain temporarily under provider retention policies.
5. Service providers and data location
PostAde uses service providers including Supabase for database, authentication, and photo storage, and Vercel for application hosting and delivery. PostAde's primary Supabase project is currently hosted in Canada. Providers may process limited service, security, or delivery data in other locations as part of operating their infrastructure.
If you use PostAde from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed outside the country where you live.
6. Photos of other people and minors
Only upload photos you are allowed to use. If a photo includes another person, especially a child, the uploader is responsible for having any permission required by law and for respecting the privacy preferences of the people pictured. PostAde is not designed for children to create creator accounts independently.
7. Security
PostAde uses access controls and the security features of its service providers to protect the beta service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid uploading highly sensitive images or information.
8. Privacy and deletion requests
During the beta, privacy, account, or deletion requests can be sent to the PostAde team through the same contact channel through which you received beta access or outreach. If you joined through another person, you can also ask the album creator to forward the request to PostAde.
9. Changes to this notice
PostAde is evolving. This notice may be updated as features, providers, or data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
Terms of Use
1. Using PostAde
By using PostAde, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. PostAde is currently an early beta and features may change, break, pause, or be removed.
2. Accounts and invitation links
Creator accounts are for the person who registered them. Keep account credentials and private invitation links secure. Do not intentionally give access to someone who should not be part of an album.
3. Your photos and content
You keep ownership of content you upload. You give PostAde a limited permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the service for you and your invited group.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and share the content and that your use of it does not violate another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
4. Voting is not a legal consent override
PostAde's Yep and Nope votes are a group decision tool, not a substitute for legal consent or personal privacy rights. An album creator can choose unanimous or majority approval. Under a majority rule, a photo can be approved even if one voter selects Nope.
Do not use a PostAde result to override a person's objection to sharing a photo of themselves or their child, or to ignore any consent requirement that applies to you.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use PostAde to:
- upload or share content you do not have the right to use;
- distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation material, harassment, threats, or other unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or mislead people about access;
- interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities, spread malware, or attempt to bypass access controls; or
- use PostAde in a way that violates applicable law.
6. No permanent storage
Free albums and paid albums without a scheduled event date expire 30 days after creation. For scheduled paid Host Approval events, the 30-day retention period starts on the event date in the selected time zone. Paid organizers can prepare a private link and QR code in advance and correct their date before the event starts and before photos are uploaded. Keep your originals. PostAde is not a permanent photo archive.
7. Host Approval purchases and refunds
Host Approval is a one-time payment of $19 USD for 1–30 people, $29 USD for 31–60 people, or $69 USD for 61 or more people. It is not a subscription. Guests never need to pay to contribute photos.
If no guest has uploaded a photo to your Host Approval event, you can request a full refund of the amount you paid. This also applies if you purchased an event but never activated it. To request a refund, email hello@trypostade.com from your purchase email address and include the event name, if one was created. Do not send payment card details.
Once a guest has uploaded a photo, the unused-event refund option no longer applies. We will separately review technical problems, payment errors, and refunds or remedies required by applicable law. Our support team reviews refund requests; refunds are not issued automatically. Approved refunds go to the original payment method. Your payment provider determines when the credit appears.
8. Beta availability and warranties
The service is provided on an as-available basis during beta. PostAde does not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every feature will always work exactly as expected. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties that are not expressly stated here.
9. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, PostAde is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of the beta, including loss of uploaded content or decisions made by users about whether to post a photo. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
10. Removing access or content
PostAde may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address abuse, or protect the service.
11. International use
People may access PostAde from different countries. You are responsible for following laws that apply to your own uploading, sharing, and use of photos where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the beta evolves. Continued use after an updated version is posted means you accept the revised terms, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
